SITUATION Taransay is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Bridge of Orchy in the county of Argyll and Bute. It is a lovely village with a rich history, a hotel and a Railway Station. Bridge of Orchy lies just 7 miles to the north of the popular stopping point of Tyndrum.
